Help Scout Blog Art

I led the development of Help Scout’s blog art design system as a part of the larger rebrand. We crafted a versatile toolkit that streamlines production and amplifies scalability, enabling designers to more easily craft bespoke, branded artwork as the Content team increases publishing frequency.

A unified style that attracts, delights, and inspires

Blog art celebrates the artful, colorful, dynamic possibilities of Help Scout’s evolved brand expression. The system is rooted in geometry and clean, simple lines, treated photography, and touches of texture such as grain, noise, and graphic typography. The guidelines also touch on elements such as color, shape, and composition, defining a more artistic approach to visuals than the core brand guidelines.

Optimizing for production speed, I created a Figma component library to accompany the style guide, so designers can leverage pre-made templates and textures with ease.

Scalability

Whether leveraging one of the templates to meet a quick deadline or designing more involved artwork as part of a campaign, our system is built to accommodate varying topics, priorities, and team bandwidth.

Serialized content

As new series are spun up, we create additional templates or asset sets in multiple colorways so our Content partners have go-to visuals for future installments. These serialized visuals always pull from our core toolkit, but are intentionally stylized to stand out.
